History
Yukimura was born into a family of tacticians loyal to the Hoshidan royals for centuries. He was a disciple under his father, who passed away when he was young, and King Sumeragi. He considered King Sumeragi to be a father figure, and deeply admired the late Queen Mikoto.
Alongside Orochi, he worked closely with Queen Mikoto, serving as her personal tactician. His specialty in mechanics and technology aided his strategies, though he also used his skills to entertain the royal family.
When Kamui/Corrin was kidnapped by Garon, he crafted the plan to kidnap Azura to bring her over to Hoshido as a trade.
He now continues to be the royal strategist, vowing to protect Hoshido at all cost. Peace is settled for now between Hoshido and Nohr, but it would never hurt to keep up the guards.
Personality
A mild mannered, polite and serious man, Yukimura has demeanors like still water: serene and calm. However, beneath the still water are rippling currents: Yukimura's demeanors can be altered by his strong distaste towards insolence, disobedience, and Nohrians. He has great loyalty to his country, and favors those that show submission and reverence to Hoshido.
Yukimura values efficiency and effectiveness first and foremost. However, as a seasoned strategist, Yukimura understands the fine balance between being efficient and being compassionate. King Sumeragi's scolding of him had left a great mark, and he is reminded to take into account Hoshidan soldiers' lives as he sends troops into battles.
Every now and then, though, the mask slips.
In his free time, he likes to tinker with machinery and karakuri puppets. He enjoys creating things with his hands, and is always thinking of how to improve his works and creations.
Whether dutifully or romantically, he loved Queen Mikoto. And somewhere in his heart, even if he denies it, he still blames Kamui/Corrin for what happened.
